Senior Level

The Director builds and maintains existing client relationships and focuses on achieving tax savings on properties. The Director also leads and contributes to activities that grow client and overall business revenue and achieve visibility and eminence for the practice and team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree and at least ten years of multistate property tax experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates positive client relationships while providing quality, profitable service.
  • Acts as a leader to staff and management in their chosen service offering.
  • Ensures team compliance with Firm policies, practice guidelines, and standards.
  • Manages and contributes to all aspects of client service during the annual property tax cycle for assigned client engagements.
  • Develops client workplans and schedules for associated project deliverables.
  • Arranges for data collection from clients and third parties as required to perform services.
  • Obtains and reviews assessor appraisals and property records.
  • Prepares valuation and assessment analysis for client properties.
  • Manages all aspects of the appeal process (informal, formal, and litigation), and reports status and results to the client.
  • Prepares and conducts regular client presentations and update meetings.
  • Responds to client inquiries and requests from assessing agencies.
  • Serves as primary contact for client activity.
  • Manages practice group needs (equipment, supplies, software, training, etc.).
  • Manages personnel (assignments, workloads, training, and performance evaluations).
  • Manages client billing and collections, financial forecasting, and contract renewals.
  • Provides regular and timely feedback and communication with staff and management.
  • Communicates new issues, legislative changes, and client needs.
  • Participates in applicable trade organization by making speeches, writing articles, or participating on boards/committees.
  • Participates in practice-wide activities and initiatives.
  • Maintains high visibility in the marketplace and is actively involved in targeting and closing new client business.
  • Directly supervises employees in their practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firms’ policies and applicable laws.
