The Producer is where vision meets delivery. They’re the steady hands at the helm - calm in the chaos, decisive in ambiguity, and fiercely committed to making things happen. More than project managers, Producers are people-powered problem solvers. They guide cross-functional teams through uncertainty, shifting priorities, and last-minute curveballs with focus, clarity, and infectious energy. They balance the strategic and the scrappy; with an awareness of the bigger picture, they focus on managing timelines, blockers, budgets, and the real humans doing the work. A Lush Producer thrives in movement. They don’t wait for the path to appear, they create it. From stakeholder wrangling to ceremony facilitation, supplier chasing to last-minute demos; they lead with purpose, humility, and a fierce drive to deliver work they’re proud of. They question unrealistic deadlines, challenge assumptions, and hold the bar high - not for ego, but for excellence. Producers at Lush lead a wide range of work; from global systems to bespoke retail experiences, from digital tools to physical-world rollouts, all whilst bringing clarity and care to every kind of team. In a business where digital meets handmade, Producers are the bridge, connecting the physical and digital, the visionary and the practical, the bold and the feasible. They adapt, they steady the ship, and bring joy to the journey.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering projects using appropriate methodologies or equivalent iterative approaches.
  • Strong organisational skills - able to manage multiple moving parts without losing your cool (or your calendar).
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, kind, confident, and concise.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and shift direction without dropping momentum.
  • Skilled at balancing urgency with empathy - knowing when to push and when to pause.
  • Experience working with cross-functional digital teams (designers, developers, analysts, testers, etc).
  • Confident managing meetings, stand-ups, retros, and planning sessions that are actually useful.
  • A natural relationship builder - from team members to stakeholders to external partners.
  • Comfortable with digital tools for delivery, tracking, and collaboration (Jira, Linear, Trello, Notion, Slack, etc).
  • Experience leading teams in a variety of environments - not just digital. Retail, operations, physical product, events, or installations are all welcome.
  • Exposure to both waterfall and agile delivery - and knowing when each has its place.
  • Familiarity with digital product lifecycles, from discovery to iteration.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems, workflows or ERP systems
  • Understanding of how tech and physical spaces intersect (especially in a hands-on business like Lush).
  • Bonus: experience managing suppliers, contracts, or external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery with Purpose
  • Lead project delivery using appropriate project principles, adapting rituals to suit the team and the challenge.
  • Drive progress, balancing speed with sustainability.
  • Keep your eye on quality, not just the finish line. If it’s not something we’re proud of, it’s not done.
  • Communication & Leadership
  • Galvanise and guide; bring energy, direction, and purpose to every room you're in.
  • Translate the big picture into clear action, helping the team stay grounded in both vision and detail.
  • Facilitate open, honest conversations and make sure the right people are looped in at the right time.
  • Navigating Business Needs
  • Get curious about the “why” behind the work - understand business goals, user needs, and the context that drives them.
  • Push for clarity around scope, deadlines, and priorities; and don’t be afraid to challenge what doesn’t add up.
  • Ensure your team is delivering what matters, not just what’s asked.
  • Change & Resilience
  • Embrace change as part of the job and adjust course without losing your sense of direction.
  • Model resilience under pressure; bring calm when things wobble and courage when things shift.
  • Rally your team behind new directions with honesty, optimism, and purpose.
  • Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships even through difficult conversations.
  • Know when to escalate, and when to own the problem and drive the solution.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for stakeholders, users, and third parties alike.
  • Cross-Functional Versatility
  • Be ready to lead any kind of work; whether it’s tech-heavy, operations-focused, people-led, or physical-world execution. Your superpower is versatility.
  • Bring your toolkit of transferable skills to every team and project you work with.

About Lush

Since establishing in 1995 in Poole, Dorset, Lush has been driven by innovation and its ethics. Creators of pioneering beauty products such as the fizzing bath bomb, shower jellies and solid shampoo bars, we place emphasis on fresh ingredients like organic fruits and vegetables, fight against animal testing and combat over-packaging by developing products that can be sold ‘naked’ to the customer without any packaging. We currently operate in 52 countries with 928 global shops. Through our separate business divisions we invent, manufacture and sell our handmade products direct to our customers through our own shops and online. The fact that we make all our products by hand is something we are really rather proud of!
